Notice of Modified Development
Development consent was granted on the 20th December 2019 by the Western Regional Planning Panel to establish a Timber/Bark Processing and Landscape Supply Facility at 24 & 26 Endeavour Rd and 59 Maher Dr, Oberon (Development Application DA 10.2019.43.1). The development consent allowed for up to 99,000 tonnes p/a of bark, sawdust, wood/ timber and clean pallets to be processed into mulch and landscape supplies at the site.
As part of this proposed modification, the approved development DA 10.2019.43.1 would be amended to include windrow composting operations of up to 40,000 tonnes p/a of garden organics from kerbside collections. The materials received and processed on the site still allow for wood/timber, including pine bark residuals, sawdust and clean pallets, and the total material accepted at the site for processing will remain at up to 99,000 tonnes p/a. The proposed composting of green organics is within that 99,000 tonnes p/a limit. The site footprint remains the same. However, the site layout will change to accommodate the garden organic composting operations.
