Circular Economy

Bettergrow champions the shift to a circular economy by recovering, recycling, and repurposing organic materials across various industries. Our partnerships keep organic waste out of landfills, enabling customers to transform green waste, biosolids, and other organic waste products into reusable resources.

• Composts and mulches are produced to AS4454, the Australian Standard for Compost, soil conditioners and Mulch products for pathogen control, particle size and maturity.
• Relevant biosolids products are suitable for Public contact sites, Urban Landscaping, Agriculture, Forestry, Soil and site rehabilitation as per NSW EPA Biosolids Guidelines, Contaminant Grade B and Stabilisation Grade A classification.
• Approved to receive and treat plant-based materials from phylloxera restricted zones at licenced sites

Bettergrow's management experience in receiving, handling, and processing large volumes of organic waste ensures our composts are fit for purpose, tested and cleared for pathogens, parasites and viable seeds. Modern machinery maps strategically all product placement and tracks productivity metrics. The equipment design enables minimised field traffic, timely and efficient operations in all weather conditions.

At Bettergrow's other site’s purpose built ripping and mounding machines optimise seedling planting at scale. Our trucks have real-time logistics and board driver assist technology. This minimises fatigue risk and provides real time driver efficiently feedback to continuously monitor driver and truck safety.

Climate Resilience

Bettergrow plays a vital role in building climate resilience in agriculture, mine rehabilitation and forestry. By using renewable resources, we enrich soil organic matter and support long-term resilience to climatic variability. Our geographical spread of regional operations provide versatility in variable weather conditions, as well as allowing a strategic risk management program and response plans for fire, flood, and drought.

Building soil resilience using organic inputs providing food for crops and the soils microbes, and enhancing the physical soil characteristics, is a key objective of Bettergrow. Bettergrow composts made from organic material diverted from landfill and carefully processed and screened when applied to soil in agriculture, urban amenity or site rehabilitation allow the improvement of the physical (carbon), chemical (nutrients & trace elements) and microbial components of your soil in every application.
